Plateau PhotographersPlateau Photographers is an group focusing on digital storytelling and cultural documentation in Tibet. Working with photography and other forms of digital technology, this dynamic group of documentarians and artists has provided a platform for young Tibetans from rural areas to learn and develop skills in multimedia storytelling. Machik is proud to sponsor Plateau Photographers' One Day in Rebkong, a photographic documentation project that took rural Tibetan students into different corners of the historic city to capture an cultural space in transformation.

Don Perrault has been actively pursuing his passions as a photographer since 1980. Over a twenty year period he has traveled to remote regions in the Himalaya and Asia and used his photographs to generate awareness for the natural beauty and cultural diversity in remote regions in the world. He is interested in the use of photography to create connections that bring people from different disciplines together to improve the healthcare and education for the indigenous people in these regions and beyond. |
Gordon Wiltsie
alpenimage.com Gordon Wiltsie is a photographer, writer and explorer whose work has taken him to some of our planet’s remotest places, often on assignment for magazines such as National Geographic, Life, Outside, Ski and numerous others. He also shoots advertising for a broad mix of companies, teaches photography seminars, guides adventure tours and is an engaging lecturer. Gordon is the author of “To the Ends of the Earth – The Adventures of an Expedition Photographer” and lives in Bozeman, Montana. |
